Analyzing and Validating Evaluation Results

What happens when you already have your evaluation forms answered? You then analyze and validate the results you have obtained.

You have to list down all the responses you receive through the evaluation forms.

When you have established a very good evaluation form, that means that it is direct and straight to the point, it will not be hard for you to assess the results.

You only have to consider each point that is being mentioned in the form. Some may be difficult for you to realize, but it also is rewarding that you listen to the answers because it will help you later on and improve your organizing skills.

Through the answers you get, you may also be able to realize yourself how effective the training is to the participants. You can determine what the weak points you need to work on are to achieve better and more lasting effects to those who join the activity. You will know if the audience has really understood what you are trying to teach them. You can see if points in the activity have been clarified.

Was teaching established? Was there a clear understanding on the part of the audience? Were there points and ideas that were missed out? You can get the answers to those questions through your evaluation results.

Were your goals reached? That is the main purpose of an evaluation. It will measure how close you are to reaching those goals and what the challenges and barriers you have met along the way are that hinder you in achieving those goals.

There you have it. Now, it is expected that you are more guided in organizing and preparing for trainings. Remember that trainings are not the end; they are only the beginning of something better for you, for the participants, and for the company.

If you only make the whole thing fun, you will see that it does not seem to be a job for you. It is an experience. You have read about the art of organizing trainings, and from this day forward, it is up to you to apply what you have learned. Just remember the three P’s according to the book Delivering Effective Training Sessions: Plan (your topic), Prepare (your material), and Present (masterfully). Enjoy.
