Evaluation
After everything has been done, hopefully in the most successful way possible, you do not just stop there and sit around. Of course, you need a post-training activity that will help you out in organizing future trainings like this.
So if there is a preparation, then there is also an evaluation. Before conducting a training, you need to plan ahead and anticipate possible happenings and even worst-case scenarios. An evaluation, meanwhile, assesses the whole activity after everything has already happened and checks how successful it has been.
The evaluation of a training is very important as it will guide you what needs to be improved in the next trainings that you will plan ahead. You can have the points you need to consider before planning another training through the evaluations.
From the term itself, the evaluation ‘evaluates’ the training including the planning stage, the implementation stage, and the details of the activity. You can get suggestions and ideas from the employees who have been able to participate in the activity on what areas should you improve and maintain as a training organizer or as a speaker. By doing an evaluation, you can receive feedbacks from participants on the weak and strong points of the event you just did. It may also be a part of the report you need to submit to your superiors as a spearhead of this training. And by doing an evaluation, you can also keep track of each participant’s progress and involvement in the totality of the activity.
But how does an evaluation ‘paper’ really look like? How is the process of evaluating the recently concluded training done? Read on.
